painted scent

Ever since Laslow's legs started growing out, he's been tired and restless--it's painful for a kid his age to go through growth spurts! So he's been taking many extended walks lately, to try and keep his mind off the ache and perhaps find some new scents for his collection and book.

Sitting down to take a rest, he flipped through his book until he looked over his glasses at something in the distance that caught his smell first--the scent of paint. It stuck out like a rattle bull's spiny back, as the scent pierced his senses and confused him.

"Who left this dirty thing here?"
